            Internet Security and “My Portfolio” Access
            
                Recently, we've upgraded our security encryption version in order to ensure the highest level of protection for your personal and financial information.  As a result of this, you may not be able to access your portfolio as you normally would.
            
            What you might see:
            
                If you have an older version of an internet browser that is not auto-updated regularly, you might see a message like this:
            
         
        
            This page can't be displayed
            
                Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to
                https://portfolio.researchcapital.com again.  If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses
                an unsupported protocol or cipher suite such as RC4 (link fo the details), which is not considered
                secure.  Please contact your site administrator.
            
         
        
            What does this mean?
            
                This is a message generated by your browser that prevents you from accessing your online portfolio.  There are some steps you can take to remedy the situation.
            
            What can I do?
            
                Here are some options you can try in order to resolve this issue and access your online account.
            
            
                - Be sure to use an up-to-date version of Google Chrome, Firefox, Apple Safari or Microsoft Edge
- Internet Explorer (IE) Version 11  will work, but older versions of Internet Explorer are not supported
                In fact, now is a good time to upgrade your browser if you are using Internet Explorer as  Microsoft will no longer support Internet Explorer or Windows 7  as of December 31, 2019.
            
             
                Downloading a new browser, such as those listed above is easy to do and a quick way to get around this inconvenience.  If you continue to experience difficulty, please contact your advisor.
